What is Villager?

Who is Villager for?
Villager is for young people and the caring adults around them. Typically a parent, guardian or mentor starts a village and invites others to join.
How much does Villager cost?

Who can see a young person's information?
Only people invited into a village can see its content. The village organizer controls who is invited and can remove members at any time. See our Privacy Policy for details.
How do I join a village?
Download the app, tap "I have an invite", and enter the invitation code or open the invite link you received.
What devices does Villager support?
Villager is available for iPhone on the App Store and for Android on Google Play.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. You can delete your account from the app's settings, or contact Support and we'll help.

- Tap Start a village and create your account.
- Add the young person's name and a few interests.
- Invite trusted adults by sharing an invite link or code.

- Invite links open the app directly if it's installed.
- Codes are not case-sensitive — double-check for extra spaces.
- Expired invite? Ask the village organizer to send a new one.

Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of terms
By downloading or using Villager ("the App"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Eligibility
Adults may create and manage villages. Users under 18 may use the App only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian. [Confirm age requirements with counsel, including COPPA obligations for users under 13.]
3. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to harass, exploit or endanger others; share unlawful or harmful content; or misuse the App's invite system.
5. Content
You retain ownership of content you post. You grant Villager a limited license to host and display it solely to operate the service.
6. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time.
7. Disclaimers & liability
The App is provided "as is." To the extent permitted by law, Villager is not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms and will notify users of material changes.

Account details (name, email), village membership, content you share, and basic device and usage data needed to run the App.
How we use it
To provide and improve Villager, connect village members, send service notifications, and keep users safe.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. Village content is visible only to invited members. We use trusted service providers (e.g., hosting, analytics) under confidentiality agreements.
Young people's data
We take extra care with information about minors. Parents and guardians can review, update or request deletion of their child's information. [Confirm COPPA / applicable state-law requirements with counsel.]
Data retention & deletion
We keep data while your account is active. You can request deletion at any time via the App or by contacting us.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit.
